Availability, Booking & Pricing
Where do you cater?
We serve throughout Windham, Tolland, New London, Middlesex and Hartford Counties in Connecticut.
How far in advance should I book my event?
We make reservations on first come, first save bases. Once the contract is signed and the deposit is received, the event is booked. The sooner the better since dates fill up quickly.
Is there a minimum number of guests required to hire Yummy Wagon for catering?
Prices start at serving 25 guests, so if you have less than 25 guests, the cost is calculated for 25 guests.
Will I get confirmation when my event is booked?
A party is confirmed if and only if both parties have acknowledged and signed the Catering Proposal and a
deposit is received. If multiple proposals are out for the same day, it will be based on a first deposit
come, first booked basis.
Is a deposit required?
A $250 deposit is due to confirm and book your event.
Is my deposit refundable?
The deposit is not refundable.
When do you need a final count of guests?
A final food count is needed 12 days before the event.
Is Yummy Wagon insured?
Yes. Certificates of Insurance (COI) can be provided upon an email request and usually within 72 hours.
Client name, and addresses need to be listed.
Is there a travel fee?
There is no travel fee for event locations that are within 15 miles from Columbia, CT (06237). There is an additional fee for locations more than 15 miles from Columbia.
Is Gratuity included in the price?
We do not require gratuity or build it into the price. However, please take into consideration the team working your event. If you feel the quality of their service was outstanding a gratuity would be much appreciated.
When is the final payment due?
Final payment of the balance is due no later than 7 days before the event.
What forms of payments are accepted?
We accept cash, checks and credit cards.
Our Carts & Set Up
How much space do you need?
We need 38ft x 12ft with some wiggle room to get in and out.
How much time is needed for set up?
We request to be on site 90 minutes prior to start.
How is the food prepared in the cart?
The food trailer uses propane to heat up the steam table that is built into the trailer. Depending on the size of your event, we may use a 110 outlet for additional operation.
Weather
What if the weather is terrible on the day of my event?
We can operate in rain or shine!
Are there any weather restrictions?
If the outside wind chill is below 55 degrees, it is difficult to maintain the proper heating temperature for the trailer's steam table.
Can you serve our guests inside?
Yes. We can accommodate you the best we can when conditions are not optimal. Depending on the situation, we can make it work.

Do you only offer hot dogs?
We offer many items besides hot dogs. We have options of Pierogis, Kielbasa, Chili, Movie Nachos, Pretzels, Meatballs, and Bratwursts, just to name a few. Contact us to discuss your party needs.
What Catering Packages do you offer?
We offer a variety of party packages that you can choose from. If none of the package's work for your event, please contact us to discuss other options. Custom packages are always available.
What type of Hot Dogs do you serve?
We serve Kayem Natural Casing Pork and Beef Hot Dogs. A delicious blend of pork, beef and spices wrapped in a natural casing that provides the ultimate SNAP and satisfaction with every bite. Kayem's-Quality at its best!
Are Gluten-free buns available?
Yes. Please request them when inquiring about a quote for your event.
Do you have any Vegetarian options?
Yes, we offer a Vegetarian hot dog. Please request them when inquiring about a quote for your event.
Do you have any other special dietary options?
Yes. We offer Turkey dogs as well as Kosher and all-beef hot dogs. Please let us know if there are any allergies, dietary, or types of food restrictions we should be aware of. Please request this when inquiring about a quote for your event.
